Update on Yurt Living/Camper Living

As many of you know we are a bit adventurous and we chose to jump straight into the Yurt Lifestyle....Yeah that was hard. granted we downsized significantly. We still didn't get rid of enough stuff. Further expounding on our issues I will admit I poorly executed the building of our yurt. I did not give the proper time to completing the yurt in a way that would have mad life much more liveable. Given this we have made a video outlining some of the pitfalls and how you can avoid them. Our hope is that you can learn from our mistakes.

Yurt Living: Word to the wise.

Moving into a yurt because you have no choice that hasn't been pre-built and built according to more traditional standards will probably yield less than favourable results. The yurt really turned into a nightmare. Not that we are giving up on it. We are rethinking how we will be going about it. Here is a video outlining only one of the issues you may encounter. I will make a video later going into more detail about different issues and how to fix them.

The Homesteading Dream

It’s a strange thing, marriage. It causes you to look at the world in a whole new light. Furthermore, having children will really make you question your life decisions, especially if you tend to make poor ones (and I'm willing to bet they also do if you make great ones).

The 48 Dodge

Its strange how life can be. I myself tend to be overly frantic when their is no need, let alone reason to be. My mind wildly flies in random directions alway focusing on the worst. Because of this I sometimes forget how great life is and how kind some people can be. Last May I was looking for a work truck and all I had available to me at the time was my car. So I had offered to trade my car for this guys S10. The issue was the truck was 3 hours away. I was super exited and left quickly, but my wife called me and said she didn't feel right about it. So I turned back and headed home.
